VINCAS M. VYZAS
About
Over 20 years ago, Vince Vyzas founded a legal practice dedicated to understanding people, individually or through their affiliations with various entities, and caring enough to dedicate himself toward the protection of their interests. Each day, he works to fulfill that promise; and, today, finds himself heading a vibrant Jersey City practice equipped to represent you with excellence throughout New Jersey and New York.
Mr. Vyzas possesses well-rounded experience in many areas of the law; he is proud to offer defined and unique proficiencies in the areas of banking, timeshares and condominium law. After all, it is where he got his start as a young legal aide in New York Attorney General's Office, Real Estate Financing Bureau. As a young lawyer, he was charged with the task of reviewing the offering plans for cooperatives, condominiums, and timeshares. In private practice, his specialized proficiencies in this field have led him to represent developers and individuals on both sides of the equation in these compliance driven areas of the law. His early exposure included new territory compliance with the Martin Act, New York's Blue Sky Law, and regulatory warehouse provisions. As a groundbreaker, Mr. Vyzas began government service timeshare offering plan review as early as 1986, one year after the initial adoption of the timeshare regulations in New York.
Upon departing government service, Mr. Vyzas found equal success in the private sector. He was chosen to lead the Co-op and Condominium department of a Brooklyn, New York law firm representing developers in a conversion of condominiums and co-ops throughout Manhattan and developers who built new construction condominium developments in the outer boroughs. He also represented national lenders as bank counsel in real estate closings and was in-house counsel for Gelt Funding, a precursor to GFI Capital, one of the largest privately owned finance companies in the country.
At the relatively young age of 32 and for the next 12 years, Mr. Vyzas was appointed General Counsel for a New Jersey savings focusing upon bank and board compliance and governance as well as all forms of litigation involving bank fraud, consumer fraud, bankruptcy fraud, fraudulent transfers, general bankruptcy, foreclosures, loan collections, commercial litigation, and sale of REOs. He clearly has a wealth of experience representing lenders before all State and Federal agencies and departments.
Today, he and his firm focus broadly in many areas of the law. There is no limitation of field or service. Just a commitment to bring all resources to bear necessary to represent you effectively and successfully.
